The Influence of College Students'physical Self-esteem on their Social Contact Ability--An Empirical Survey Based on 1623 Valid Samples

摘要通过调查发现:大学生身体自尊水平与社会交往能力呈显著正相关(0.075,p<0.01),身体自我价值感、身体状况、身体吸引力、身体素质四项子维度对大学生社会交往能力整体水平的影响最为显著。大学生社会交往能力中的沟通能力、人际关系建立能力受身体自尊及各子项水平的影响最为突出;大学生异性交往能力与身体自尊总体水平、身体吸引力、身体素质、身体自我价值感显著相关。经对这一关系的深入分析,我们认为,高校公共体育教育对于健全大学生人格发展、提升大学生心理健康水平具有重要且独特的价值意蕴。 2262 undergraduates in China were tested by using the College Students'physical self-esteem scale and college students'social contact ability questionnaire.1623 of these samples are valid as the basis of data analysis of this study.College students'physical self-esteem is divided into five dimensions:sports skills,physical condition,physical attractiveness,physical quality and physical self-worth.Social contact ability includes six sub-items:conflict control ability,interpersonal relationship building ability,heterosexual contact ability,moderate rejection ability,contact ability and social contact ability.It's found that there was a significant positive correlation between College Students'physical self-esteem and social contact ability(0.075,P<0.01).The four sub-dimensions of physical self-worth,physical condition,physical attractiveness and physical quality had the most significant impact on the overall level of College Students'social contact ability.The contact ability and interpersonal relationship building ability of College Students'social contact ability are most affected by physical self-esteem and each sub-item level;Heterosexual contact ability of college students is significantly correlated with the overall level of physical self-esteem,physical attraction,physical quality and physical self-worth.Through the in-depth analysis of this relationship,the research believes that public physical education in Colleges and universities has an important and unique value for improving college students'personality development and mental health level.
