Objective:To explore the correlation between sleep disturbance and bone mineral density and fracture incidence in postmenopausal women. Methods:From October 2018 to October 2020,156 postmenopausal female patients who were hospitalized in the Orthopaedic Center of the Affiliated Hospital of Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected. The obtained PSQI scores can be divided into sleep disorder group(0-7 points),mild sleep disorder group(7-11 points),moderate sleep disorder group(12-16 points)and severe sleep disorder group(17 to 21 points);BMD and fracture incidence were measured at the same time. Results:There was a correlation between sleep disturbance and bone mineral density in postmenopausal women. With the aggravation of sleep disturbance, the bone mineral density of all parts decreased(r=-0.89,F=755.7,P=0.000);The incidence of fracture gradually increased(χ^(2) trend=33.29,P=0.000).Conclusion:The bone mineral density and fracture incidence of postmenopausal women are closely related to sleep disorders. The continuous aggravation of sleep disorders leads to a decrease in bone mineral density and an increase in the incidence of fractures. The improvement of sleep quality can significantly reduce the incidence of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. The incidence of fractures, thereby improving the quality of life.
