Preschool teachers are the backbone of preschool education. Cultivating high-quality preschool teachers will effectively promote the high-quality development of preschool education. In November 2020, OECD published the report of Building a High-Quality Early Childhood Education and Care Workforce. The report detailed the development patterns of preschool teachers in OECD countries from four dimensions: teacher training, working conditions, occupational well-being, leadership and management practices. Systematic analysis of the report has important implications for the construction of preschool education teachers in China. First, the analysis framework of high-quality preschool teachers is extracted to provide reference for the construction and evaluation of preschool teachers. Second, the quality of formal training should be improved and teachers should be encouraged to conduct informal learning. Third, a balance should be maintained in working conditions to stimulate the enthusiasm of preschool teachers to stay in their posts. Fourth, efforts should be made from three dimensions to enhance the occupational well-being of preschool teachers. Fifth, distributed leadership should be implemented and the leadership model of preschool education institutions should be optimized.
