摘要
希腊文化是西方文化重要渊源,其在世界文学中具有极高的地位,拥有大量的读者。古希腊文化的价值不可估量,它是英语语言和文学的根。希腊人相信宙斯大神和他的家族诸神居住在奥林匹斯山上,人神同形同性,编出了耐人寻味的故事。在英语语言和文学作品中,有大量与希腊神话有关的内容,其对英语语言的学习有很大的影响。鉴于此,就希腊神话对英语语言与文学创作的影响进行分析,以期更好地把握英语语言特点和文化现象。
Greek culture is an important source of Western culture,which has a very high position in world literature and a large number of readers.Greek culture is also the root of English literature,and its value is immeasurable.The Greeks believe that Zeus and his family Gods live on the Mount Olympus,and the Gods are of the same shape and sex,making very interesting stories.In English language and literature,there are a lot of contents related to Greek mythology,which has a great influence on English language learning.In view of this,this paper analyzes the influence of Greek mythology on the creation of English language and literature in order to better grasp the characteristics of English language and cultural phenomena.
