摘要
一直以来,“娜拉出走”似乎是五四女性走向解放的必由之路.但实际上,娜拉作为知识分子,既非五四女性的主体,也无法代表五四女性解放的全部内涵.许地山五四时期的创作为我们观照真正的主体--没有受过现代教育的传统女性--提供了崭新的视角.由此发现,“被现代”是绝大多数女性走向现代的方式.而在其背后,是许地山对何为现代女性和女性如何现代的探问,从而实现了对五四女性解放话语否定之否定的超越.以此来反观五四文学的启蒙叙事会发现,“被现代”与国家和国民现代性进程形成了隐喻,并折射出启蒙知识分子与大众的错位,暴露出启蒙本身的缺陷.透过“被现代”,可以发现五四运动中极为普遍却极少言说的另一种女性解放之路,而许地山对“现代”的理解更是充实了女性解放的内涵.
Nora's departure has seemed to be the only way for women to be liberated during the May 4th Movement.However,in fact,Nora as an intellectual,could represent neither the main body of women nor the whole connotation of women's liberation in the May 4th Movement.Xu Dishan's literature works during the May 4th Movement provide us a new perspective to observe the real subject-traditional women without modern education.It is found that“being forced to be modern”was how most of them became a modern woman.Behind“being forced to be modern”is Xu Dishan's exploration of what modern women mean and how they may become modern,which surpasses the women's liberation discourse of May 4th.Based on that,we can find“being forced to be modern”is a metaphor for the process of national modernity,which reflects the dislocation between enlightenment intellectuals and the public,and exposes the defects of enlightenment itself.Through“being forced to be modern”,another way of female liberation,which is very common but rarely talked about,can be found,and it may be said that Xu Dishan's understanding of“being modern”has enriched the connotation of female liberation.
