摘要
综合运用问卷调查、访谈、理想类型等研究方法,以现代化和组织理论作为分析工具,特别是韦伯提出的理性科层分析原理,探讨了我国一流大学的内部治理结构、特色、环境、动力、趋势等问题。在对大学治理现实状况描述基础上,提出我国高等教育在理性原则作用下,从传统走向现代,从特殊主义走向普遍主义,同时也表现出一些诸如功利化、过度竞争、价值理性缺失等现代病的征兆,这是中国式大学治理在实现一流大学目标时要面对的现实问题,也是中国大学治理体系现代化的方向性问题。
The authors employ questionnaire survey, interview, ideal-type methods, create analytical framework drawn from modernization theory and organizational theory, especially rational bureaucratic model by Max Weber, to explore such questions as governance scenarios, its characteristics, environment, dynamics and trends in Chinese universities. Data are analyzed, and scenarios are described. On basis of empirical analyses, it is argued that rational rationale works, and Chinese universities are experiencing modernization, transiting from tradition to modern, from particularity to universality. In the meanwhile, they have shown some modern diseases as utilitarian, over-competition, and weak value rational. These are challenges that Chinese universities have to address in achieving their goals and issues of modernization of their governance systems.
