“老表”的形象建构:符号、认同与新媒体实践

摘要 “老表”作为江西人的符号表征,常被寓于落后、贫穷和老实的刻板印象。采用定量定性顺序型混合方法研究,考察“老表”的刻板印象内容及其维度,试图探究形成“老表”刻板印象差异化的原因及其形象建构的行动逻辑。研究发现,“老表”的刻板印象是一个由正面印象、负面印象和中性印象三个维度构成的动态形象。“老表”作为江西人的语言符号,呈现差异化解读,并通过合法性认同、抗拒性认同和规划性认同三种路径完成其身份认同的建构。同时,在开放、多元的新媒体交往空间中,人们也在对“老表”形象亚文化进行新媒体实践。 “Lao Biao”,as a symbol of Jiangxi people,is often stereotyped as backward,poor and honest image.This paper used the mixed methodology of quantitative and qualitative sequence approaches to investigate the stereotype content and dimensions of“Lao Biao”,trying to explore the reasons for the formation of stereotype differences of“Lao Biao”and the action logic of image construction.It is found that the stereotype of“Lao Biao”is a dynamic image composed of three dimensions:positive impression,negative impression and neutral impression.As the language symbol of Jiangxi people,“Lao Biao”presents a differentiated interpretation and completes the construction of its identity through three paths:legitimacy identification,resistance identification and planning identification.At the same time,in the open and diversified space for new media communication,people are also practicing new media on the subculture of“Lao Biao”image.
