摘要
英国当代作家伊恩·麦克尤恩的小说《坚果壳》以一名胎儿的叙述视角为切入点,讲述了其母和叔叔密谋杀害其父的家庭伦理悲剧。小说围绕这一家庭乱伦事件及其后果展开,并穿插胎儿对国际局势和社会问题的评价,内容上包罗万象,结构上也呈现复杂的空间叙事特征。文章从物质、精神、社会、伦理四个空间维度分析小说的叙事策略,揭示小说的主旨,彰显小说深刻的伦理内涵,并强调作者在作品中传达的批判精神和人文关怀。
The novel Nutshell is written by contemporary British writer Ian McEwan.From the perspective of a fetus,it tells an ethical tragedy in the fetus’s family,that is,the fetus’s mother and uncle conspire to kill its father.The story mainly deals with this incest as well as its consequence;meanwhile,it also presents the fetus’s evaluations of international situation and social problems,so it is all-inclusive in content and complicated in structure with characteristics of spatial narrative.This paper analyzes the narrative strategy of the novel from four spatial dimensions,including material,spiritual,social and ethical space,so that the theme and ethical connotation of the novel can be revealed.Besides,it also highlights the author’s criticism on social issues and his humanistic care for modern people.
