In recent years, the scale of the bilateral trade between China and Japan has been growing in volatility. At the same time, the scale of Japan's investment in China has been enlarged, and the bilateral investment between the two countries has continued to be improved. As key participants of Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement(RCEP),China and Japan established free trade relationship for the first time with the signing of RCEP,which is a major breakthrough in China's free trade zone strategy and has brought new opportunities to Sino-Japan economic and trade relationship.Through simulation analyses,we find that RCEP can significantly promote the bilateral trade between China and Japan, help to improve the social welfare on both sides, and strengthen the competitiveness of advantage industries.China should take the opportunity of the implementation of RCEP to accelerate the negotiation process of China-Japan-South Korea FTA(中日韩自贸协定),start the upgrading negotiation of Sino-Japan investment agreement in due time, and deepen Sino-Japan bilateral political mutual trust and technical cooperation,so as to further deepen Sino-Japan economic and trade relationship.
