Objective To observe the clinical effect and safety of periareolar single-incision surgery in the treatment of multiple benign breast tumors. Methods The clinical data of 178 patients with multiple benign breast tumors admitted to our hospital from September 2018 to September 2019 were retrospectively analyzed and divided into group A(n=89)and group B(n=89)according to different treatment methods.Group A was treated with periareolar single-incision surgery, while group B was treated with traditional incision surgery. The perioperative related indicators, postoperative breast aesthetic score and incidence of complications of the two groups were compared. Results No statistical difference was found in the operation time between the two groups(P>0.05).The intraoperative blood loss of group A was less than that of group B,and the incision length and hospitalization time were shorter than those of group B(P<0.05).After surgery, the scores of nipple areola sensation, hyperpigmentation, incision scar and breast appearance of group A were higher than those of group B(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in group A was 2.25%,lower than 10.11%in group B(P<0.05).Conclusions Periareolar single-incision surgery has significant clinical effect in the treatment of multiple benign breast tumors, and meets the needs of patients for aesthetic and minimally invasive treatment, with higher safety, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
