In order to study the effects of different levels of yeast extract on growth performance, slaughter performance and economic benefits of broilers. In this study,240 broilers of 3-week-old with similar weight were randomly divided into 4 groups, each group had 6 repetitions,10 broilers in each repetitions. One group was the blank control group.1.0%,1.5%and 2.0%yeast extract was added to the basic diet in the 2,3 and 4 groups, respectively. The pre-experiment lasted 7 days and the experimental period lasted 21 days. The results showed that:(1)The average daily gain of groups 3 and 4 was 11.7%and 10.3%higher than that of group 1(P<0.05),the average intake of groups 2,3 and 4 was higher than that of group 1(P>0.05),and the ratio of feed to gain of groups 3 and 4 was 17.3%and 15.0%lower than that of group 1(P<0.05);(2)The slaughtering rate and half clean bore rate of groups 2,3 and 4 were all higher than those of group 1(P>0.05).The chest muscle rate and leg muscle rate of groups 3 and 4 were 15.5%,14.4%,16.5%and 11.3%higher than those of group 1 respectively(P<0.05).(3)The economic benefits of each broiler in groups 3 and 4 was 15.4%and 14.2%higher than those of group 1 respectively. In conclusion that the growth performance, slaughtering performance and economic benefit of AA broiler could be improved by adding yeast extract at different levels, and 1.5%was suitable.
