[Purpose/significance]The paper is to analyze the application hotspots and development trend of blockchain technology in intellectual property management.[Method/process]Based on CNKI and Web of Science core collection database, the paper uses the bibliometric and visualization methods to analyze the status quo of intellectual property management research under the background of blockchain from the aspects of research development, research hotspots, application scenarios, field distribution and cooperation.[Result/conclusion]The analysis shows that there are great differences between Chinese and English papers on hot topics and leading disciplines.Chinese is dominated by social sciences, and its application scenarios are concentrated in media and library information industry, while English is dominated by science and engineering, involving more interdisciplinary research. The application scenarios are richer and more specific than Chinese articles, and the cooperation network is more intensive.Researchers should strengthen interdisciplinary and regional cooperation, promote the application and landing of research topics, and expand the scope of research objects. The government, universities and relevant institutions will provide support from fund support evaluation, technology specific application and cooperation, which will further promote intellectual property research in the context of blockchain.
