摘要
杜威的教育哲学观对大学英语教师专业发展具有启示意义。探究共同体的建构是大学英语教师专业发展的重要途径之一。本文从杜威的反思性思维的概念入手,从内系统、外系统和信息系统三个维度探讨了大学英语教师探究共同体的支持系统建构,希望对大学英语教师专业发展有一定借鉴。
This paper analyzes the construction of college English teachers’inquiry community from the perspective of reflective thinking and probes into its support system.This study is expected to bring enlightenment to researches on the professional development of college English teachers.As an important part of Dewey’s educational thought,reflective thinking has internal relations with three core concepts,namely"situation","inquiry"and"practice".Firstly,human activity is an active interaction with environment,which brings about the transformation of a situation from the uncertain to the definite.College English teachers should actively integrate themselves into the present situation,and reduce the negative impact of adverse situation.Secondly,inquiry is a cognitive activity to acquire new knowledge,which is a continuous and dynamic process.College English teachers should actively respond to uncertainties,give full play to their knowledge,and reflect on their practice.Lastly,according to Dewey’s view of practice,experience is an important method of learning."Learning by doing"is to achieve the unity of knowledge and action.Thus,college English teachers must attach importance to the practice of teaching and research.The running of College English teachers’inquiry community is a spiral process composed of three elements:reflection,dialogue and practice.It is a dynamic organism integrating learning,teaching and research practice from which college English teachers draw conclusions through self reflection,thus improving the practice.College English teachers will analyze different aspects of problems in teaching or research through self-talk or dialogues with others based on their cognition and experience,thus putting forward different hypotheses,and then test these hypotheses in the practice,aiming to improve their teaching and research.The sustainable development of college English teachers’inquiry community needs a support system,which is divided into three dimensions:internal system,external system and informati
