摘要
影响藏族格言诗英译的文本外因素是此次探讨的焦点,包括译者的因素、作序人的修改意见和主流价值观的导向作用。虽然李译本具有很高的文学价值和实用价值,也存在着丝许的不足,即应更多地考虑读者的因素,比如适当地给译文添加脚注,深化读者的理解。其次,翻译的历史性和伦理性要求以后出现层次更高的复译本,那么培养精通“汉藏英”全方位人才显得尤为紧迫,以推动民族典籍外译事业的进一步发展。
Of the internal and external factors contributing to the success of Tibetan gnomic verses,the latter is more prominent,including the translators’initiative,the suggestions from the experts who wrote the preface for this book and the guiding role of Chinese dominating values.Although the English version of Tibetan gnomic verses enjoy high literature value and practical enlightening function for the readers,there are still some drawbacks so the suggestion is that translators need to have more consideration for easy understanding of the target text,like adopting the translation method of annotation.Moreover,the historicity and ethicality of translation ask for further re-translation of Tibetan gnomic verses.Hence,it is urgent to cultivate the translators who are well versed in Tibetan,Chinese and English so as to efficaciously promote the enterprise of translating ethnic classics into foreign languages.
