摘要
物质性议题在传播与媒介研究中愈发受到瞩目,但面对不同的理路,始终缺乏对"什么是物"这一问题的论析。"物向本体论"作为在本体论层面处理该问题的重要取径之一,亦鲜有针对性研究。这一源自海德格尔思想传统的哲学论述对整个西方现代哲学和后现代理论逐一批驳,指出用关系、网络、事件、行动、话语、文本、杂交等替换掉"物"的做法具有严重弊端。作为物向本体论的创始人,哈曼主张以"扁平本体论"的视角看待万物,提出"物"的四重结构,及其不可还原为"构成要素"与"影响"的基本原则与界定方式,将"物"自身超越人类中心主义的意涵凸显出来。此种关于"物"的理解对人文社会科学产生了广泛影响。媒介哲学如何与思辨哲学对话,并对社会理论、实践产生影响,在城市化与新技术浪潮下的中国,亦可从中获得启发。
The topic of Materiality is becoming more and more popular in the field of communication and media studies. However, in front of multiple approaches, we still do not have a good clarification of "what is the object?" Moreover, as one of the most significant approaches dealing with such a question at the sense of ontology, ObjectOriented-Ontology gained few special pieces of research in China. As the founder of OOO, Harman argues that we should treat everything with "flat ontology". He also put forward the so-called four-fold structure of the object and its principle of non-reductivity, which highlights the meaning beyond human-centrism. Such kind of understanding of the object has a great impact on the humanities and social sciences, especially in the field of architecture. For China under the wave of urbanization and new technology, it is also a good opportunity to learn how can such speculative philosophy have a conversation with media philosophy and affect the social theory and practice.
