摘要
"评亲合力"为本雅明针对歌德晚期长篇小说所作,作为神话之本质的"神魔"不仅是解读这部小说及歌德人生态度的关键,也内在于本雅明的思想脉络。歌德笃信星神和星象的宿命性,认定真理只能由现象直观来呈现,这些宇宙论的神秘主义特质直接影响了本雅明日后的"星丛"建构。本雅明对歌德思想的发展则在于,"神魔"既可概括又可全盘否定现实世界,其风险难以规避;而同样具备"极性融合"特征、却加添历史哲学性质的"神圣暴力"及"真理话语"有望爆破并超克"神魔"。
"Goethe’s Elective Affinities" is an article written by Benjamin in response to Goethe’s last full-length novel, which developed the previous immanent criticism. As the essence of myth and the key to interpret Goethe’s novel and his attitude towards life, the demonic is inherited through Benjamin’s ideological vein. Goethe firmly believed that the stars determine one’s character and destiny, and truth can only be presented intuitively by phenomena. These mystical characteristics of cosmology directly influenced Benjamin’s idea of constellation. His development of demonic after Goethe is that it represents an uncertain duality, which is at the risk of totally generalizing and negating the real world at the same time. Hopefully, it has divine violence and truth discourse which can be counted on, and it has polarity integration and historical philosophy which may blow up and overcome itself.
