摘要
本文以吴方言特指问句为例,分析疑问与焦点之间的互动关系。这种互动关系是指疑问与焦点之间的互相影响。一方面,疑问表达手段对吴方言特指问句的疑问焦点产生影响,即无论是单一疑问表达手段的使用,还是多种疑问表达手段的结合使用,只有疑问代词这种词汇手段才能决定特指问句的焦点。另一方面,焦点表现形式对吴方言特指问句的表达功能产生影响,即不同的焦点表现形式可以单独或结合起来对特指问句疑问功能的表达产生影响,所造成的结果是:有的特指问句的疑问功能发生了转移;有的特指问句可以成立,有的特指问句不能成立;同样可以成立的特指问句由于疑问代词出现位置的不同,会造成疑问表达功能的差异性。疑问与焦点之间的互动关系不但体现在特指问句中,而且也体现在正反问句中,具有一定的普遍性。
This paper takes Wh-questions in Wu dialect as the example to analyze the interaction between interrogation and focus. On the one hand, the means of interrogation has an impact on the interrogation focus of Wh-questions in Wu dialect. That is, whether a single interrogation expression or a variety of interrogation expressions are used, only interrogative pronouns, as a lexical means, can determine the focus of Wh-questions. On the other hand, the focus forms have an impact on the expressive function of Wh-questions. That is, different focus forms can affect the expression of the interrogative function of Wh-questions individually or in combination. As a result, the interrogative function of some Wh-questions has changed, and some Wh-questions can be established, but some cannot. Because of the different location of the interrogative pronouns, the Wh-questions that can be established will have different interrogative expression function. The interaction between interrogation and focus is not only reflected in Wh-questions, but also in A-not-A questions, which shows certain universality.
