In Wu dialect (Wuxi dialect), there is an interrogative pronoun “Nai Heng [na᷈13ha᷈21]”, which can express situations, ways and reasons. In these three different usages, the relationship between the interrogative pronoun “Nai Heng” and the focus is also different, which shows that the interrogative pronoun has an impact on the interrogative focus of the Wu dialect specific questions. In addition, Wu dialect (Wuxi dialect) has a similar interrogative pronoun “Nai Wei [na᷈13ɦuᴇ21]”, but there are slight differences in usage, location, and focus.
