摘要
翻译活动是受制于译者意识形态并在一定的社会政治和文化历史语境下进行的。二十世纪八十年代,美国翻译研究文化学派提出操纵翻译的三大因素,其中之一就是意识形态。基于勒菲弗尔的改写理论,以《面纱》张译本为个案,从译者对文本的选择、翻译策略的选择和语言风格三个角度出发,分析意识形态在不同层面对翻译过程的操控,以说明意识形态在文学翻译中的重要作用。
Translation activities are conducted under the influence of the translator’s ideology and in the context of social politics and cultural history. In the 1980s, Lefevere, a typical representative of the American school of Translation Studies, put forward three major factors in manipulating translation, one of which was ideology. Based on Lefevere’s Rewriting Theory, the author takes Zhang’s Chinese version of The Painted Veil as an example to analyse the manipulation of ideology in the process of translation at different levels from three aspects: the choice of the original text, translation strategies and the language style and to illustrate the important role of ideology in literary translation.
