摘要
文作为雕虫小技,由于纸本媒介的普及而成为日常生活之物,既是作家个人吟咏耽玩的器物,亦是作家之间酬谢赠答的礼物。在赏玩和切磋过程中,作为"物"的"文"的形式特征,如文章的体势、义脉、章法、句法、字法、声韵等,得到细微的体认,形式批评遂发生、发展起来。陆机《文赋》最早全面系统地阐发"文"之特征,其中包含形式批评理论。刘勰提出"原道""征圣""宗经"的主张,在"经国大体"的意义层面,强调文章的崇高价值,也肯定了文章形式的价值;《文心雕龙》也肯定了形式批评的价值,并阐述了丰富的形式批评理论。
The prose writing became a part of daily life due to the popularity of paper media. It could be a personal hobby or a socializing gift. During the process of appreciation and discussion, the formal characteristics of prose, such as structure, meaning, syntax, grammar, and rhyme, got full development from which derived formal criticism. Lu Ji's u Wenfun was the first article that gave a comprehensive and systematical elucidation of prose, which implied the embryonic form of formal criticism. The conceptions put forward by Liu Xie, like yuandao, zhengsheng and zongjing, emphasized the sublime value of literary form. And his master work Wen xin diao long also recognized the value of formal criticism and elaborated on abundant theories of formal criticism.
