Objective To explore the effect of CBL teaching method combined with 3D technology in clinical teaching of neurosurgery. Methods A total of 108 clinical medical undergraduates in the department of neurosurgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from different internship periods were randomly divided into two groups(with 54 students in each group). The experimental group accepted the CBL teaching method combined with 3D technology, while the control group accepted traditional teaching method. After the internship, examination and teaching satisfaction survey were conducted in two groups, and the results were compared. Results The examination scores of the experimental group were significantly better than those of the control group(P<0.05).As for the results of teaching satisfaction survey, except for the acceptance of teaching methods which showed no difference between the two groups, other sub-items in the experimental group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of CBL teaching method combined with 3D technology in clinical teaching of neurosurgery can arouse students’ enthusiasm for learning, cultivate their ability to think and solve problems, help students to master the complicated knowledge of neurosurgery and improve teaching quality. It is worth being promoted.
