Objective:To investigate the effect of HDL on wound healing by analyzing the correlation between peripheral blood HDL and postoperative incision healing in patients with breast cancer. Methods:A total of 132 inpatients who underwent breast cancer surgery in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shantou University Medical College were enrolled.HDL was detected before surgery.Drainage tube retention time, drainage volume, number of dressings and time of suture removal were counted and as an indicator of wound healing and conduct correlation analysis. Results:The group which have a higher HDL have a lower drainage tube retention time(P<0.01),drainage volume(P<0.01),dressing frequency(P<0.01)and suture removal time(P<0.01)than the normal or lower HDL level group;HDL levels were significantly negatively correlated with each healing index, and the correlation with drainage was the highest(r=-0.36,P<0.01).Conclusion:High level of HDL plays an important role in promoting breast cancer incision healing.
