摘要
译者翻译能力的评价多采用传统的文本结果的评价模式,一直以来受翻译界研究者诟病,虽有研究者试图从评价手段上进行革新,但缺乏有效的得到广泛认可的做法。本研究以21位翻译专业高年级本科生为研究对象,对其翻译的文本结果和翻译过程的字数、反应时及字词速度等指标进行分析,发现男生整体分数高于女生,且受翻译类型(英译汉vs.汉译英)和题材及其交互作用的影响;女生擅长汉译英,男生擅长英译汉;性别、翻译类型和题材影响翻译结果的字数和翻译过程中的反应时和字词速度;翻译人工评价和翻译速度之间函数关系为:分数=M+a*字数+b*反应时+c*字词速度。
The evaluation of translator's ability mostly adopts the traditional evaluation model on textual files,and it has been criticized by researchers in the translation field.Although some researchers try to innovate the translational measurements,the effective and widely accepted methods are still not found.In this study,employing 21 senior undergraduates majoring in translation,we analyzed the texts of translation,words quantity,reaction time(RT)and word speed in the translation process.The results show that the overall score of boys is higher than that of girls,which are affected by translation-type,theme And the interaction effects;Girls are good at Chinese-English translation,while males do better in English-Chinese translation;gender,translation-type and theme can affect words quantity,RT and the output word-speed in translation;the functional relationship between translational manual evaluation and translation speed is:Score=M+a*(Words quantity)+b* RT+c*(Word Speed).
