摘要
采用双语平行语料库和单语类比语料库相结合的研究模式,通过定量和定性分析,考察《红楼梦》及其译本中的人称代词,探索人称代词在英汉语小说中的使用特征及原因。研究表明:翻译英语小说中人称代词的使用频率(霍译本11. 49%,杨译本11. 91%),不仅高于原生汉语小说《红楼梦》(4. 58%),也高于原生英语小说(11. 45%);杨译本中人称代词与原生英语小说总体上存在显著差异(P <0. 001),霍译本中人称代词的翻译与原生英语不存在显著差异;翻译英语中人称代词既有显化趋势又有隐化趋势,两译本中的人称代词"we,you,she,her"比原生英语显著多用,"I,me,my,he,his,its"比原生汉语显著少用。因此,英语学习者和翻译者应充分了解英汉人称代词的异同,适当采取显化或隐化策略。
With the research mode of bilingual parallel corpus and monolingual corpus,the use of personal pronouns in the original Chinese novel The Story of the Stone , the two translated English novels and the native English novels were analyzed in this paper.The result showed that the frequency of use of personal pronouns in translated English novels is not only higher than the original Chinese novel,but also higher than native English novels;there is a significant difference between the personal pronouns in the English version by the Yangs and the native English novels;the personal pronouns in translated English novels are translated with the methods of explicitation and implicitation.It was concluded that translators should master the usage of personal pronouns and make flexible use of translation methods.
