摘要
在"一带一路"国家倡议的新形势下,要求大学培养的毕业生具有娴熟英语沟通能力、过硬国际专业术语掌握能力及适应国际化行业标准、规则能力,因此,对"土木工程专业英语"教学内容及方式提出全新考验。目前,国内大学"土木工程专业英语"教学与现实需求存在较大脱节,表现在:(1)教学内容陈旧,未结合新形势发展更新教材与课堂资料;(2)学生对课程重视程度不够;(3)教学方式落后,采用传统灌输式教学方法,未结合社会需求。针对以上问题,笔者所在团队基于现从事的"土木工程专业英语"课程教学,通过开展对现有教学模式改革、优化,开展包括教学大纲改进、教学模式探索、教学内容优化等方式,致力培养土木工程本科生能够适应目前新形势需要,成为社会欢迎、企业急需、适应国际的优秀工程技术人才。经3年的课堂教学实践证明,该教学方式有助于调动学生积极性及增强其社会适应性,不失为新形势下土木工程专业英语教学的一种新模式。
Under the new situation of the national strategy"the one belt and one road",the under-graduates are required to have well-skilled in English communication,excellent international terminology and ability to adapt to international industry standards and regulations,which put a new test on teaching content and methods of Special English for Civil Engineering.At present,There is a big disconnect between the teaching of"the Special English for Civil Engineering"and the actual needs in domestic university.The detailed problems can be represented as:(1)The teaching content is obsolete,and the curriculum and classroom materials are not updated in combination with the new situation.(2)Students pay less attention to the course of professional English;(3)The teaching method is backward,but the traditional instillation teaching method is still adopted,which does not combine the needs of the society.In view of the above problems,the author is based on the teaching of"Special English for Civil Engineering".Through the reform and optimization of the existing teaching model,including the improvement of syllabus,the exploration of teaching mode,and the optimization of teaching content.To cultivate civil engineering undergraduates can adapt to the needs of the current new situation and become excellent engineering and technical personnel who are needed by the society and enterprises,meanwhile,adapted to the international area.Through 3-year classroom teaching practice,it is proved that this teaching method is helpful to arouse students'enthusiasm and social adaptability.
