摘要
隐喻无处不在,它既是一种语言现象,也是一种认知现象。隐喻能力包含对隐喻的理解能力,是外语教学过程中应该培养的一种重要的能力。在大学英语阅读教学过程中通过对英语隐喻的理解教学,不仅可以提高学生的隐喻能力,从而使学生对言外之意获得恰如其分的理解,而且可以促进大学生思辨能力的锻炼和培养。
Metaphor is ubiquitous.It is both a linguistic phenomenon and a cognitive phenomenon.Metaphorical competence includes the ability to understand metaphors and is an important ability that should be cultivated in the process of foreign language teaching.The teaching of English metaphor comprehension in the college English reading class,not only can improve students'metaphorical competence,so that they can obtain appropriate comprehension of the connotation meanings of the metaphors,but also promote the cultivation of college students'critical thinking.
