Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of Povidone iodine cream combined with visible light in the treatment of pediatric light burn or scald injuries. Methods From October 1,2015 to October 1,2017,One hundred and forty-four children suffering from superficial burns were collected. The patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group. The patients in the control group were treated with MEBO.The observation group received povidone iodine cream and visible light, but another group was only treated with povidone iodine cream. The wound healing time was observed.Wound healing rate, the clinical treatment, pain situation, allergy and fever situation, the wound healing time, wound scar situation,of the patients in the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results There was no significant difference in wound healing rate between the two groups at 7 days(P>0.05).On the 14 day of treatment, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The wound healing time in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05).The clinical effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the VAS scores in the observation group 7 d and 14 d were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The scar index of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).No significant difference in the incidence of allergic reactions(local pruritus, redness, etc.)was between the two groups during treatment(P>0.05).There was a significant difference in fever between the two groups during hospitalization(P<0.05).Conclusion Povidone Iodine Cream combined with visible light in the treatment of pediatric burn or scald injuries can effectively improve wound healing rate, shorten healing time, reduce pain as soon as possible, reduce scar, increase adverse reactions, high safety and low cost. Therefore,it is suitable for clinical promotion.
