摘要
2017年6月20日,国家标准委、教育部、国家语委在北京联合召开新闻发布会,发布《公共服务领域英文译写规范》系列国家标准。该标准对规范我国公共服务领域的英文译写意义重大,接下来是如何推动标准的贯彻落实。近年来,武汉市不断推动城市的国际化,但公示语的翻译一直欠缺地方标准,其英译水平参差不齐,急需纳入整体规范的范畴。本文以武汉市为例,探讨《公共服务领域英文译写规范》国家标准的地方应用和推广,以期由点及面,逐步辐射到全省,跟上国家标准整体推广的步伐。
On June20,2017,the Standardization Administration,the Ministry of Education and the State Language Commission jointly held a press conference in Beijing to issue"Guidelines for the Use of English in Public Service Areas",a series of national standards.The standards are of great significance in regulating English translation and writing in public service areas in China,so the next step is to promote the implementation of the standards.In recent years,Wuhan City has been continuously internationalized,but there has been a lack of local standards in the translation of public signs in the city and the English translation of public signs is uneven,so it needs to be integrated into the overall standards.Taking Wuhan City as an example,this paper discusses the local application and promotion of the national standards of"Guidelines for the Use of English in Public Service Areas",with a view to making the standards gradually radiate from Wuhan City to the entire province and keeping up with the overall promotion of the national standards.
