摘要
本文从二语习得过程以及建构主义学习理论出发,通过分析网络英语教学的实质、特点,各教学要素之间的关系,从而探讨了教师在网络英语学习中不可替代的多重角色。笔者对西北工业大学网络英语教学试点的运行情况,特别是教师实际扮演的角色进行了一次实地调查。结果显示教学效果不甚理想,而归根结底,是教师的原因。
This paper was dedicated to the exploration of teacher's irreplaceable roles in web-based English learning by coping with the substance of web-based English teaching,its features and the relations among different elements of teaching.A multi-role framework for teachers was put forth later on through careful analysis of the nature and the attributes of language acquisition well depicted in the theory of L2 acquisition and the constructivist learning theory.A survey was conducted in Northwest University of Technology in order to delineate the true picture of teacher's role in web-based English teaching.The research data were later collected and analyzed in order to spot the weaknesses,trace down the roots and explore the space for improvement.The results showed that the outcome of learning was far from being satisfactory and the cause of it was,in the final analysis,the lack of knowledge of the nature of language learning and the failure to facilitate learning on the part of the teacher.
