摘要
当下世界文学研究的勃兴凸显了翻译的核心地位,展现了翻译在世界文学与民族文学关系中的建构性作用。有鉴于此,本文将对当下世界文学视域中的翻译研究模式进行评介,主要包括卡萨诺瓦(Pascale Casanova)、莫莱蒂(Franco Moretti)、阿普特(Emily Apter)、达姆罗什(David Damrosch)与韦努蒂(Lawrence Venuti)等学者的研究模式。以上学者从政治经济学、诗学、哲学与传播学等角度对翻译的世界文学性问题进行了探索,提出了一系列新的、基于翻译实践的、而非原文的世界文学理论或概念,进一步将语境因素纳入翻译研究范畴,突出了翻译研究之于世界文学的重要性,强调了尊重异域性的世界文学的价值,引导学界在世界文学观念中对翻译进行重新定位,其核心在于探究翻译对文学、文化关系的意义与作用。该研究模式丰富了比较文学翻译研究的研究范畴,拓展了翻译与国别文学关系等影响研究领域的维度,这对于中国文化外译战略,以及思考文学跨文化传播的人文性、传承性与共享性,也具有一定的启示意义。
The recent research boom of world literature manifeststhe core position of translation, and highlights the constructive function of translation in the relationship between national literature and world literature. The paper aims to review the recent research modes into translation in light of world literature undertaken by Pascale Casanova, Franco Moretti, Emily Apter, David Damrosch and Lawrence Venuti, who have addressed the interdisciplinary nature of world literature and translation studies from the perspective of political economics, poetics, philosophy and communication studies. They have proposed a series of new theories or concepts of world literature based on translation practice rather than the original text, and concluded that the translation is the product of the receiving situation which implies that the understanding of the source text selection and translation method choice has to be located in the receiving culture and situation, which emphasizes the value of foreignness in translation in regard to world literature. The central to these researches is to explore the significance and function of translation to literary and cultural relations. The research model enriches the research dimension of comparative literature approach to translation studies, and expands it to the influence studies such as national literary relations. This research mode may shed light on the out-going translation strategies of Chinese literature and the rethinking of humanistic, inheritable and sharing nature of cross-cultural circulation of literature.
