译员阅读加工的认知机制--基于眼动追踪技术的实证研究 被引量:9

Cognitive Mechanism of Translators' Reading Processing:An Eye-Tracking Based Empirical Study

摘要 本研究考察了译员进行以理解为目的的阅读、为概括大意进行的阅读、为翻译做准备的阅读以及视译中的阅读等不同阅读任务时的眼球注视行为。研究结果表明:(1)翻译因素影响阅读加工,与翻译有关的阅读任务在加工难度和深度上大于常规阅读任务,但这种影响是有限度的;(2)译员的阅读与专业水平有关,职业译员的阅读速度更快,阅读效率更高,学习者译员在阅读中的认知负荷更大。本研究为翻译阅读过程提供了一定的实证研究证据,深化了我们对译员阅读认知机制的认识,对译员培训和译者教育有一定的启示作用。 The present study investigates translators' eye movement behavior across four different reading tasks in E-C language pair: reading for comprehension; reading for summary; reading in preparation for translating and reading while speaking a translation(sight interpreting). The results show that(1) translation factors have a clear effect on translators' reading processing,and the processing difficulty and depth of translation-related reading tasks are greater than those of monolingual reading tasks,but this effect is limited; and(2) The translators' reading is related to their professional level. Professional translators read faster and more efficiently. Learner translators have greater cognitive load in translation reading than professionals. This study provides some empirical evidence for translation reading process,which deepens our understanding of the cognitive mechanism of translators' reading behavior,and may shed light on interpreter training and translator education.
