摘要
罗德岛设计学院在设计教育领域具有独特的教育模式。罗德岛设计学院通过博物馆营造了浓厚的艺术氛围,在独特的艺术场域中培养设计艺术家;在课程规划中通过常规性与实验性并置的课程设置培养学生的专业技能与人文素养;在设计媒介表达中强化多元表现,鼓励学生进行多种媒介和材料的尝试与表达;重视社会合作与社区连接,培养了学生社会理解和批判能力,提升学生对社会议题的思考力和洞察力。目前,我国设计教育面临发展的各类问题与困境,实现设计教育的突破性、创新性发展是当前面临的重要课题,罗德岛设计学院的教学模式为我国设计教育改革提供了借鉴。
The Rhode Island School of Design has a unique educational model in the field of design education. The Rhode Island School of Design creates a strong artistic atmosphere through the museum, cultivating design artists in the art field; developing students' professional skills and humanistic qualities through regular and experimental curriculum planning; strengthen dimensional creation and encourage students to try various media materials to rich the media expression; attach importance to social cooperation and community connection, cultivate students' social understanding and critical ability to enhance students' thinking and insight on social issues. At present, China's design education faces various problems and dilemmas in development. How to achieve breakthrough and innovative development of design education is an important subject, the teaching model of Rhode Island School of Design may provides a reference for China's design education reform.
