摘要
本文以＂深化改革＂的译词搭配为例对《习近平谈治国理政》英译本作了调查,发现该动名搭配无一译为目前我国译界流行但自然英语并不存在的deepen reform。这一现实说明,该书英译本的词语搭配非常地道、流利和自然,确保了译本的质量。该书的出版为国际读者架设了又一座理解中国的桥梁。
This article reports on our investigation of all the English translations of the Chinese expression shēnhuà gǎigé in the English version of the book The Governance of China by President Xi Jinping. We found that this expression was not rendered into the phrase ＂deepen reform＂,an expression which is often used by Chinese translators to render the Chinese phrase but actually non-existent in English. This may suggest that the rendition of this book is idiomatic,fluent and natural,hence ensuring a high quality and facilitating international readers＇ understanding.
