摘要
在创新驱动的大背景下,创新能力日益成为企业竞争能力的重要体现。本文立足于战略外包情境,从接包方视角出发,选取接包方知识获取作为中介变量,关系质量中的合作冲突和长期合作导向作为调节变量,对发包方创新能力对接包方创新能力的影响机制进行了理论探索与实证研究。基于分别面向外包项目经理和战略经理的两套企业问卷调研数据,本文采用层次回归技术对相关假设进行了检验。结果表明:接包方知识获取在发包方创新能力和接包方创新能力之间扮演着中介作用;合作冲突对发包方创新能力与接包方知识获取之间的关系具有显著的倒U型调节作用;接包方长期合作导向对发包方创新能力与接包方知识获取之间的关系具有显著的积极调节作用。
In the innovation-driven context, innovation capability is key to firm competitive advantage. Accordingly, how to improve the innovation capability of firms has been widely recognized by scholars and managers. InChina, strategieoutsoureing, rather than traditional outsourcing,has become a more important form of outsourcing,in which the main focus of clients is no longer on cost efficiency but on core business and accumulative experience and learning of vendors. Thus, it is critical to explore the mechanisms of increasing vendor innovation capability in the context of strategic outsonrcing. However, in the existing research on innovation capability in strategic outsourcing, most of the literature focuses on how the resources and capabilities of vendors create value for clients, whereas the value acquisition of vendors in the cooperation attracts little attention, and research on how client innovation capability can promote vendor innovation capability is more rare. Taking the strategic outsourcing as an example,based on interorganizationallearning, knowledge spillovers and relational view as theories background, this study reveals the influencing mechanism of client innovation capability on their corresponding vendors innovation capability from the perspective of vendors, in which knowledge acquisition of vendors plays a mediating role, and cooperative conflicts and long-term orientation described as relationship quality play the roles of moderators. Based on dyadic survey data from respondents of outsourcing project managers and strategy managers in Chinese outsourcing firms, research hypotheses are tested by employing hierarchical regression analysis. The results suggest that client innovation capability has a positive and significant effect on vendor knowledge acquisition, and vendor knowledge acquisition in turn has a positive and significant effect on vendor innovation capability.
