摘要
同如今诸多中外闻名的中式地方菜肴一样,莆田地方美食同样拥有多样的品种、可口的味道以及均衡的营养。除此之外,它还有显著的地方文化色彩。然而,目前对于莆田地区的英译研究尚少,莆田地区的风俗和文化也因此不能得到有效的对外宣传。在异化和归化两大翻译策略指引下的直译和意译两大翻译方法可用于多角度探究莆田地方美食的英译,与此同时,在菜肴英译研究的过程中,菜肴包含的地方文化色彩得以保留,并且力图为相关的英译研究提供必要的翻译技巧和策略。
Like other local styles of Chinese food now popular home and abroad,Putian's local cuisine also boasts of its great variety,delicious taste and balanced nutrition.In addition to these features,it still possesses distinctively local cultural flavor.In consideration of the absence of related research and for the purpose of further disseminating local culture abroad,this thesis discusses the English translation of typical Putian dishes in the light of translation theories related with literal translation and free translation,and foreignization and domestication.The thesis seeks to keep cultural elements involved and serves to provide hints for related translation.
