摘要
弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫既是一位标新立异的意识流小说家,也是一位格调高雅的随笔艺术大师,国外学术界对其随笔的研究从其生前一直延续至今。本文对国外学术界伍尔夫随笔研究作综述,说明了国外学术界对伍尔夫随笔的从不认可到逐渐接受和肯定的过程。20世纪90年代后,伍尔夫作为一位文学批评家、报刊作者及文学史家的地位基本确立。
Virginia Woolf is an unconventional writer of stream - of - consciousness novel, as well as a master of essay art with elegant style. The oversea studies on her essays started in her life time till today. This paper gives a summary of the oversea research on her essays, demonstrating the process of the academic cir- cles＇ attitude towards her essays changing from reluctant to admit, accepting and eventually affirming. In the later 1990s, Woolf＇ s status as a literature critic, a press writer and a scholar of literature history had basically been exstabalished.
