摘要
"以顿代步"作为英语格律诗汉译的常用规范,旨在实现格律对应和诗体移植,然而,现代汉诗的"顿"是实际话语的兼顾语音和语义的节奏单位,英诗的"步"却是形式分析的割裂语义的节奏单位,二者不存在形式上和功能上的对等,也无从谈起意义容量上的相当,因而,"以顿代步"很难实现理想的格律移植,应该探索基于其他节奏单位对等的格律移植策略。
As a well received norm of English - Chinese metrical poetry translation,＂ Pause Corresponding to Foot＂ aims at meter corresponding and genre transplanting, ignoring the formal, functional and semantic unequivalence betw that only een the two different rhythm units--＂ pause＂ in Chinese modem poetry and＂ foot＂ in English poetry--for the fact Chinese pause is the basic practical unit combining both phonetic and semantic functions while English foot is a theoretical unit commonly separating semantic from phonetic function. Therefore,＂ Pause Corresponding to Foot＇is a specious strategy for metrical transplanting before a more reasonable and practical strategy is proven, de- veloped on another type of rhythm units＇ equivalence.
