摘要
为应对激烈的国际竞争局势及韩国社会发展需求,2008年韩国李明博政府实施了极具发展前景的韩国世界一流大学科教振兴计划——"WCU计划"。"WCU计划"是一项站位高远、政府主导、多方参与、影响深远的国家引才战略,"计划"以聘用海外高层次学者为基点,通过结构性引进各类国际杰出人才,培育创新型研究者,开展基础学科中颇具前景的新领域、交叉领域研究,满足国家核心领域的迫切需求,促进国家经济社会发展。
In response to the fierce international competition and Korean social develop- ment needs, ＂WCU project＂ was implemented by Lee Myung-bak government in 2008, which was a revitalizing plan of science and education for Korean world-class universities with a vast development foreground. As a national strategy for attracting talents with the high standing, government leading, multi-participation and far-reaching influence, the plan took the employment of high-level overseas scholars as a basis, cultivated innovative re-searchers by introducing all kinds of international outstanding talents structurally, and con- ducted the research of new promising fields and cross fields in basic subjects, which could meet the pressing needs of national core fields and promote national economic and social development.
