摘要
作为中国传统教育的重要组成部分,书院持续千年并且于多方面都发挥了巨大作用。书院改制之后,书院之名虽逐渐淡出,但是作为书院强大生命力的核心元素——书院精神并未因之而消逝,并且绵延至当代,出现了多种形式的复兴。这不仅仅反映了人们对传统文化某些片断和元素的重视,同时也意味着对于文化的自觉。随着中国教育界对现代高等教育系统的功能及价值反思的不断深入,对书院的价值及其在当代复兴的意义也不可避免地会进行重新思考,其必要性显而易见。
As an important part of Chinese traditional education,academies have lasted for one thousand years and played a huge role in many aspects.As times goes by,academies have gradually faded out,but the core elements of academies still exist and tend to revive in various forms,which not only reflects peoples attention to traditional culture elements,but also indicates their cultural consciousness.With modern higher education system in mind,it is quite necessary to rethink the value and significance of Chinese academies.
