摘要
在外事活动中,模糊语的使用是普遍且必要的。作为双方交流的桥梁,口译员对模糊语的处理就显得尤为关键。认清模糊语在外事口译中所起的诸多功能和作用,掌握并巧妙运用直译、意译、增补、省略四大翻译策略能使口译员如虎添翼,有助于口译员圆满完成外事口译的任务。以《2015年两会李克强总理答中外记者问》为例,探讨外事口译中模糊语的翻译策略。
The usage of vague language is universal and necessary in foreign affairs activities. On this occasion,as the communication bridge between two sides,it is vital for interpreters to deal with vague language intelligently. Based on Premier Li Keqiang Meets the Press in 2015 NPC and CPPCC,the interpretation strategy of vague language in foreign affairs is mainly studied through the analysis of cases. The understanding of functions and influences of vague language in foreign affairs interpretation and the mastery and application of four main strategies-- literal translation,free translation,addition and omission-- can be very helpful for interpreters to accomplish foreign affairs interpretation.
