摘要
概念转喻是认知语言学中一个重要的方法。本文首先对概念转喻进行文献综述,并对相关国内外研究进行总结分析。其次,用概念转喻对近五年澳大利亚网球公开赛(以下简称"澳网")男子单打决赛(以下简称"男单决赛")的英语网球新闻报道进行文本分析。在分析了概念转喻在文本中的使用频率和形式之后,可以观察出在英语网球新闻报道中,概念转喻多体现选手的荣誉或者赛事最突出的特征,通过使用概念转喻,体育新闻报道能更加生动有趣。
Conceptual metonymy is an essential approach in cognitive linguistics. This paper first reviews important literature related to conceptual metonymies and related studies abroad and at home. Then this paper gives detailed textual analysis of English tennis coverage on Australian Open Men＇s Finales in recent five years by conceptual metonymies. After analyzing the frequency and usage of the approach,it is observed that conceptual metonymies are of great importance in English tennis coverage. Most conceptual metonymies manifest the obtained achievements of players or the most salient features of events. Therefore,sports coverage can be more vivid and interesting through the application of conceptual metonymies.
