Allan Poe takes descriptive effects as an important principle of writing,which overpasses plots and becomes the criterion of his works.In Tell-truth Heart,he creates a repressed and horrific atmosphere intentionally from the very beginning and presents abuser＇s irrational inner world through absurd narration.The vulture eye and beating heart reveal the characters＇ complicated psychological activities vividly,making a crash between sub-consciousness and real existence,which emphasizes the horrific effect greatly.
