Study on the English Translation of Shaanxi Specialties from Cultural Turn in Western Translation Studies

摘要 陕西美食英译是陕菜外宣和陕西饮食文化向世界输出的重要环节,基于文化西传的理念,以西方译学文化派左哈的多元系统理论为视角,探究陕西美食的英译策略,指出专名翻译是母语中心主义和译语中心主义的交锋,本质上则是翻译和权力的关系问题。 The English translation of Shaanxi specialties helps promote its local food and catering culture to the whole world. This research analyzes the translation strategies of Shaanxi specialties from the perspective of Zohar's Poly -system theory and comes to the conclusion that translation of proper names is in essence a combat for power between source language culture and target lan- guage culture.
