摘要
外语学习动机作为学习者外语学习行为之动力系统的重要组成部分之一,在提高外语教学绩效上发挥着关键作用。外语教学的社会性、碎片化、灵活性等特点对其动机策略的设计提出了新的要求,而动机设计模型ARCS的最新研究成果,尤其是ARCS模型与学科教学整合的研究新进展,为外语动机策略的设计提供了新思路。该文从外语学科教学的特征出发,把外语学习划分为碎片化、整合式与创造性三个阶段,并结合这三个阶段的主要特征,对ARCS模型在外语教学过程中的具体应用进行了深入探讨,构建了一个基于ARCS模型的外语教学动机策略设计金字塔模型。
As an internal component of foreign language learning dynamical system, motivation has always been functioning critically in improving language learning efficiency. Currently, the features of socialization, fragmentization,and flexibility of foreign language teaching pose new challenges on motivation design model. The new research on ARCS model, particularly on the new progress in integration between ARCS model and specific disciplines, shed new light on foreign language motivational design. This paper distinctively divided FLT(foreign language teaching) into three related stages, fragmentation, integration and creation, and made a in-depth exploration of ARCS model's application in this field. Finally, a pyramidal rank structure based on ARCS model of FLT motivational design has been eventually constructed.
