摘要
哈金是当今美国重要的华裔作家、美国艺术与科学院院士(2014),现任教于波士顿大学,曾获美国国家图书奖、美国笔会/福克纳奖等。受《外国文学研究》杂志委托,江少川教授于2013年对哈金进行了专访。在访谈中,哈金就《等待》、《南京安魂曲》与《落地》等几部小说的创作阐述了自己的见解与看法,并对小说创作、文学经典学习、双语写作与小说教学等问题作了深入思考。谈及小说家应该该如何学习文学经典,哈金主张学习文学大师要从起点开始;而对双语写作,他认为用英文创作冒险性很大,而用中文写作可以非常有把握地做下去;但若选择了英语文学创作,汉语文学就自然地被放到一旁。
Ha Jin is professor of English and Creative Writing at Boston University, USA, and a leading Chinese American writer and fellow of American Academy of Arts and Sciences（2014）. He has published three volumes of poetry, four books of short stories, six novels, and a book of essays, and has won numerous prizes and awards such as American National Book Award for Fiction and PEN/Faulkner Award. Commissioned by the journal of Foreign Literature Studies, Professor Jiang Shaochuan conducted an interview with Ha Jin in 2013. Ha Jin, in this interview, expresses his ideas and viewpoints about his own literary writing by referring to his works such as Waiting, Nanjing Requiem, and A Good Fall, and make comments upon literary creation and its teaching, bilingual writing, and reading of literary classics.
