摘要 "东亚"一词源自日语,其中有着沉痛的战争记忆。如今"东亚"作为一种文化概念,成为学术界关注的对象。近十余年来,在台湾学界的努力下,"东亚儒学"已足以构成一独立的研究领域,并已到了对此研究领域的已有成果及将来发展等问题进行总结反省的阶段。在当今全球化时代来审视儒学的未来发展,既有必要坚持文化多元论的立场,也有必要树立具体普遍性的观念,以此作为尊重"他者"、展开文明对话的基础,同时又能与"文化自信"的确立产生良性互动,因为"自信"绝不是意味着无视"他者"的夜郎自大。 The phrase East Asian (dong ya) comes from Japanese with painful wartime memories. Nowadays this phrase has become a cultural notion, a subject which draws much academic attention. Since the last decade, "East Asian Confucianism", through the endeavor of Taiwan academia, has become an independent research field which has grown into the stage when its outcomes are ready to be summarized and reflected. To look for the future development of Confucianism in an era of globalization, we need both cultural pluralism and universal concepts to show respect to the "Other" and lay the foundation for dialogues between cultures. Also universal concepts can interact with "cultural confidence" since confidence means no ignorance which pay no attention to the "Other"
