摘要
乾隆二十二年科举恢复试诗是清代文化史和文学史上的一件大事。功令不仅扭转了古诗文辞妨害举业的观念,激发了士人写作试律的风气和研习试帖诗学的热情,更刺激了坊间编纂、笺注、评析古今试律作品的风潮。经过乾隆后期几十年的推行和普及,对试帖诗的研究已有长足进展,有关试律写作的经验和技巧得到总结和充实,同时古典诗学的一些观念也通过试帖诗学占据的蒙学市场得到推广和普及,形成试帖诗学与一般诗学的互动。试帖诗学的勃兴,促进了诗学的整体复兴和繁荣。这是研究清代中后期诗学首先必须考虑的基本问题。
Resumption of the poetry component of the imperial examinations in the 22nd year of Qianlong was a major event in Qing cultural and literary history.The decree not only reversed the idea that the language of old-style poetry impeded performance in the examination,but also encouraged a fashion among scholars for writing regulated examination-type verse and inspired them to study the art of poetry written in accord with given examination topics(shitie shi,试帖诗).Further,it led to a fashion on the street for compiling,annotating,and analyzing ancient and modern-style examination verse.Having been spread and popularized in the last decades of the Qianlong reign,the study of shitie shi made great progress.Experience and skill in writing examination verse according to specific topics were drawn together and filled out;at the same time,some ideas from classical poetics were spread and popularized through the market in education for the young(mengxue,蒙学),a market dominated by the shitie shi.Thus an interaction grew up between the poetics of the shitieshiand general poetics.The flourishing of the poetics of shitie shi encouraged poetics as a whole to revive and thrive.This basic issue must be taken into account in studying mid-and late Qing poetics.
