摘要
兼名是指两个以上音节组成的事物名称。公孙龙是先秦兼名思想的集大成者,他在其《坚白论》和《通变论》中,较系统地阐明了兼名生成的基本条件,揭示了兼名的合成规律。这不仅是先秦名学中最具中国特色的符号学思想,也是公孙龙对符号学的一个重要贡献。
Jian Ming refers to the name composed of two or more syllables in classic Chinese. Gongsun Long, a well-known thinker in the pre-Qin period, who epitomized the concept of Jian Ming, systematically expounded its basic features, conditions and rules in his logic essays entitled Jian Bai Lun(On the Properties of Being Hard and White) and Tong Bian Lun(On the Properties of Being Similar and Different).Gongsun Long's idea of Jian Ming is not only the semiotic concept with the most Chinese characteristics in the pre-Qin naming theories, but also a significant contribution to semiotics.
