摘要
当前国内大学英语转型过程中,许多从事ESP研究的专家和学者主张在ESP教材编写过程中应考虑到教师因素,即根据教师情况进行适当调整。本文尝试分析这种观点的理论基础,其在实际教学中存在的弊病,提出教师应当学习专业英语知识,通过学习适应教材,而不是教材来适应教师。
In the current process of transformation of Chinese college English education, many experts and scholars who have been studying ESP maintain that teachers' factors shall be taken into account in compiling ESP textbooks,namely,shall adapt to teachers' level. This paper, from the perspective of need analysis of target domain, dwells on the theoretical basis, practical prob-lems and disadvantages of such view and proposes that teachers shall learn professional English knowledge and get themselves adapt to the textbooks instead of otherwise.
