摘要
语言与文化的发展变化息息相关 ,而词汇在语言诸要素中载蓄文化的功能最强 ,最能反映文化的各个层面。各个民族语言文化均有着反映自己独持的文化特征的文化词汇 ,这些文化词汇自身的特殊文化内涵往往构成翻译中的难点 ,成为信息传递的障碍。从跨文化交际的角度看 ,文化词汇的翻译应最大限度地做到语义和语用的等值 ,至少应达到语用对等 ,并辅以恰当的翻译方法。
Language and culture are closely related to each other. This paper studies the principle and approaches of translating culture-loaded words in the broad context of intercultural communication by exploring the relation between culture and translation. Culture-loaded words both which contain cultural connotation and obviously mirror cultural characteristics, are often considered difficult to translate. In light of intercultural communication research, the paper proposes that in translation of culture-loaded words both semantic and pragmatic equivalence, or at least pragmatic equivalence, should be achieved by adopting proper translating approaches.
